Let's play pretend!

Yup, most of the time I feel like I am just playing pretend.
Most of the time I feel so happy and excited, NOT.
Actual truth is I am feeling the very opposite of what I've said.
Though I know I am unable to show these feelings in the presence of anybody, I am still unable to run away from this feeling.
Hence, the dramatic play occurs daily for me.

Lately in Boston, I experienced a really terrible break down of my self-esteem.
I am not quite sure myself why it happen, maybe it's just my surrounding, the people around me.
Being me always trying to be a perfectionist, I felt so low due to my incapabilities.
I never shared this with anyone and I sure do feel horrible during those few days being far away from home.
I'm glad I made it through that 5 weeks.

As much as possible I am thinking positive.
I have to.
Insya'allah.

"If you could read my mind, you'd be in tears."

Boston (Finale)

Summer Immersion Programme has finally come to an end. I survive through the 5 weeks and finally I'm coming home! In a few hours time, I'll be heading to Logan Airport. Despite the long hours and hours of journey I am still looking forward to be back in Singapore. Missing everything there so much already.

Goodbye Boston, thanks for the incredible memories.

With Love,
Yusliza

Boston (Part 10)

Okay, today's post is kindda jumble up a little due to my laziness to re-arrange the photos. Don't mind my lazyness please cuz I'm super shag from today's fun at Six Flags. Before I proceed to the updates of Six Flags, let me just briefly go through the highlights of this week thigns that happen. Seronok per my last week in Boston.

That's Michael, our tour guide as we visited Perkins School for the Blind yesterday (Saturday, 17th July.) Apparently, this school is the first school for the blind to be set up in United States of America. I am so honoured to visit this awesome school. It's definitely a great great experience to learn more about adaptations of people with special needs.

Then last Friday, 16th July, Lin, Nas and Me went to the Hatch Memorial Shell to watch the Free Friday Flicks. We watched Startrek in the open space at Charles River Esplanade. But, it was pity that it rained so heavily that we have no choice but to head back to dorm. We did sat down with the umbrella and our butts all wet though for around one hour in the rain before we gave up. Haha... Before the movie, we ate at Friendly's. Thought it was a restaurant sort of like Wrentham but oh well, it's more like a fast food, exactly why it is called Friendly's Express. So there goes my chance of eating Fish & Chips. They don't have it there. So I had soft serve like again while Nas & Lin had thier Lobster Roll.

Okay let's move 2 days back from Friday. That will be a Wednesday, 14th July. Went to watch the theatrical performance by The Boston Blue Man Group. The performance was awesome and it was all worth it. It's kindda like storm kindda thingy with a lot of comedy in it. Thumbs up to them.

That's one of the Blue Man. Didn't really get a chance to take with all three of them. Tsk! But I got his kiss...
On a paper jer... hahaha... suspense tak suspense tak? I love The Blue Man Show!

Then comes today, Sunday, 18th July, the 20 of us wheelock girls headed to New England Six Flags. It's a 2 and a half hour journey from Massachussets. But it was all worth while, I swear.

Welcome to Six Flags Yus! Six Flags is sortta like Universal Studio but I guess it so much more huge that we cannot finish getting on the rides in one day. Love the place.

First ride for me will the the Thunderbolt. A roller coaster ride, and it was awesome! Besides all the fun with the rides, another thing that I look forward to when it comes to Six Flags is....

Definitely Looney Tunes la seyy... & of course my all time favourite Looney Tune Character would be...

Not Bugs Bunny, but still he is uber adorable and I can't help but to snap photos with him. He messed up my hair after the phototaking. Damn you bunny teeth thingy. Hahaha...

Yup yup yup, my all time favorite character, Tweety!!! & I got to meet him up close and personal. I am so a happy child today. Muahahahahahaha.... the childish me. Oh wells...

See, that's me and Duffy Duck and TWEETY!!! Cutie percutie...

Okay Lin says this is Bugs Bunny's girlfriend. Hahaha... Rambut tak nak kalah beb!!

Another shot with Bugs Bunny and Sylvester this time round. They are so bloody adorable. If they can fit into my luggage, I'll empty everything else and put them in to bring them back to Singapore. Hahaha...

& Wonderwoman and Batman! Sumer macam paham... Wahahahah!! To sum it all, everything was great to end off my stay in Boston. The last week here was just FANTASTIC! Video kekek nak mampos, with the Blue Man, lagi satu kene langgar beak duffy duck (you can hear Lin's bloody loud, annoying laughter while taking the video for me upon witnessing the incident, LOL!), another, in the process of changing 'her' mind not to take the big roller coaster ride after looking how scary it was from the skyway. & that 'her' was definitely Nur Azlina. Hahaha... you can hear her saying, "Eh takper la girl..." Teros dah terpotong...

A few more days and I''m back, home sweet home. Dreading the long hours and hours of flight though. Ok, good night world.

Boston (Part 9)

Last Friday, we went to Boston Children's Musuem!
The place was just awesome!
So deprieved of my childhood when I'm there.
If my parents were to bring me to this kindda places when I was young, I guess I'll be a lil bit more smarter than I am already am now.
Muahahahahahaha!!

That's Boston Children's Musuem director and our Professor Beth Frederick who's currently also working there as a, I'm not so sure what is her post there. LOL!

This is my 2nd favourite part in the Musuem.

Cool shit la seh, so IT savvy in school.
If only my classroom is this high-tech makes my teaching more enjoyable.
Hur hur...

Boston Red Sox, the Baseball team.

My best & favourite part of the museum!
Arthur & Friends!

& then we went for a seafood dinner at Barking Crab!
Delicious-ness.

While waiting for our table for at least half an hour.

The food we order:
-Lobster
-Fisherman's Platter
-Calamari
-Fish & Chips
-Fried Chicken

Mine's definitely the Fish & Chips.
Superb!
The next day we went to the beach.
Pretty nice experience having to go through the flood since it was raining heavily.

Jump shots! Awesomeness!

Happy child in Boston!

Then we had ice-cream.
So niceeeee!!

Ours!

Mine, soft serve chocolate ice-cream.

Alright to be continued...

prayers & hope

I dropped a tear in the ocean.

The day you find it, is the day I will stop missing you.

Time goes by a lot slower when you miss the one you love.

I don't know what exactly is going to happen next.

All I pray and hope for is for you to be back safely.

I miss you.

With love,
Your Yuz

Boston (Part 8)

We did this in class today.
To resemble our expectation towards parents as we work with them.
Mine's the epok-epok! Hur hur...

My dinner with Lin, noodle like again, nugget and watermelon for me.
Salad is Lin's.
Macam candle light dinner makan while watching sun setting from our dorm!
Awesome!!
Syg Lin, Lin syg aku tak?!
I swear this is my first time seeing a fortune cookie.
Haha...

Haven't been showing my room lately, that's my makan corner.

That's Lin corner, neat right, like mine!

Our masak-masak corner.

My toiletries corner.

Ok then, the end.
To be continued.
